Kicking off gameweek three, we see Stamford Bridge play host to a clash between two of London’s finest, as Chelsea face off against Fulham. 

Both sides will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League heading into the first international break.

Chelsea’s 2025-2026 EPL season began with an underwhelming 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace. 

However, it was in gameweek two where the season officially started for the Blues – as Enzo Maresca’s side put in a dominant showing at the London Stadium to beat West Ham 5-1. 

Despite the absence of Cole Palmer, Chelsea were back to their free-flowing best offensively as Joao Pedro controlled the game from minute one, notching up three goal contributions for his side.  

Everyone knows the levels this Chelsea side can hit; it is just about maintaining consistency if they are to mount a proper title challenge against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. 

Fulham have had a fairly positive start to the English Premier League as well, with two 1-1 draws against Brighton and Manchester United, respectively, keeping the Cottagers unbeaten under Marco Silva’s tutelage so far this season. 

Their second-half performance on Sunday highlighted that this is a team that is capable of troubling any side in the league, and they arguably should have banked all three points. 

However, a lack of potency in front of goal and an inability to defend set-pieces cost them dearly. 

Having dodged a bullet with Bruno Fernandes’ missed penalty, given away by Calvin Bassey from a corner kick, Fulham were finally punished after Leny Yoro’s header from another corner was inadvertently deflected off Rodrigo Muniz into Bernd Leno’s net. 

Fulham will be looking to rectify these issues against a Chelsea side that scored three goals from corners at the weekend.
