Liverpool vs Everton betting tips and summary

Liverpool to win – Only side to have won all four of their EPL matches this season

Under 3.5 goals in the match – Six of the last seven H2Hs have seen this happen

Mohamed Salah to have over 0.5 shots on target – Certain to start, good record in home matches vs Everton

Saturday’s early kick-off comes at Anfield, where Liverpool host rivals Everton, in the first Merseyside derby of the 2025/26 English Premier League

Liverpool manager Arne Slot’s defending English Premier League champions remain the only team to boast a flawless record so far this campaign – winning all four of their opening matches.

New signing Alexander Isak was left out of the squad, as their perfect start survived a surprise shock last weekend.

Mohamed Salah scored an injury-time penalty to see off 10-man Burnley, continuing a trend that has seen Liverpool score the winning goal late on in games.

A last-minute winner to beat Newcastle followed a late double on the opening day to topple Bournemouth, before a thunderous Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick downed Arsenal with seven minutes to play.

Their next challenge comes in the shape of Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, before the blue side of Merseyside travel across the City to Anfield.

Manager David Moyes’ side sit sixth in the English Premier League after a 0-0 draw at home to Aston Villa extended Everton’s unbeaten run to four matches, though it could’ve been so much more had it not been for some heroics from Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.

The Argentina international kept out both Jack Grealish and Michael Keane, to earn his side a point at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, on his return to English Premier League action.

The result followed three consecutive victories (one in the Carabao Cup) since an opening-day defeat away to Leeds.

What are the best bets for Liverpool vs Everton?

Liverpool to win

The Reds hold a good record in the Merseyside derby, especially at Anfield – winning four of the last five matches against Everton.

They are also the only team to maintain a perfect record after four games this season.

Under 3.5 goals

This selection has landed in six of the last seven head-to-head matches and with Everton likely to be hard to beat, I can see this trend continuing.

Mohamed Salah to have over 0.5 shots on target

This has happened in two of his four English Premier League matches and Salah is almost a guaranteed start, in a side that is likely to welcome Isak at the expense of one of their attackers.

The Egypt winger has also scored in three of the last five Merseyside derbies, with all goals coming at Anfield.
