West Ham vs Burnley betting tips and summary
Match to end in a draw – good trend in H2Hs
Over 1.5 goals – strong H2H + recent trend
Jarrod Bowen to have over 1.5 shots on target – landed last weekend
West Ham will welcome Burnley to the London Stadium, on Saturday, following their first English Premier League home victory since February.
The Hammers produced one of the shocks of the season, defeating UEFA Champions League competitors Newcastle 3-1 last weekend.
An embarrassing performance from manager Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side played into the hands of West Ham, who dominated the game, despite going 1-0 down.
It was manager Nuno Espírito Santo’s first victory in charge of the Irons, one he will look to add to against a Burnley side who have displayed a respectable showing since their promotion last season.
Three wins from their opening 10 matches doesn’t sound mind-blowing, but manager Scott Parker’s side have faced some very difficult opponents, including reigning English Premier League champions Liverpool, title protagonists Arsenal and Man City, as well as Aston Villa.
The Clarets will look to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Arsenal in their last match and claim their second away win of the season on Saturday, when they travel to East London.
What are the best bets for West Ham vs Burnley?
Match to end in a draw
There is a strong record of this result in head-to-head matches between the two sides.
With the exception of last weekend, West Ham have been very poor at home and Burnley should fancy their chances at getting at least a point; that being said, Burnley still lack quality.
Over 1.5 goals
Though the hosts have netted five goals at home all season (three of which came last weekend), Burnley have scored in five of their last six English Premier League matches.
Jarrod Bowen to have over 1.5 shots on target
The England winger has had a shot on target in seven of his last eight English Premier League matches.
