Having spent the 2025-26 Premier League season on loan at Everton, wide player Jack Grealish seeks a move back to Merseyside from Manchester City, with Aston Villa and Sunderland also interested in the player.
Sky Sports report that all deals are on the table: permanent move, loan, or an agreement for the player in the final year of his Man City contract.
Grealish will be a grateful acquisition for Everton boss David Moyes, who has urged his club to get reinforcements.
A move expected
Man City boss Enzo Maresca seemed to accept the probability of Grealish leaving in his Thursday press conference.
“Jack is here until the day he is here, it’s my duty to try and help him and give us the best. Then we’ll see in the next four or five days what happens.”
For Aston Villa, a loan is unlikely as they have used their domestic loan slots on Aaron Wan Bissaka and Alejandro Garnacho.
Villa are also focusing on finalising deals for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, which may rule out any deal for Grealish.
On the other hand, Sunderland are keen on a loan for the England international, as bolstering their flanks is a priority.
With Wilson Isidor signing a new contract until 2030, acquiring Grealish could put the Black Cats in good stead over the course of a tough season.

Strengthening needed
“I think we definitely need to continue to make additions, that’s for sure,” Moyes said.
“We thought the squad was quite thin last year, and at the moment, if you take the way the numbers work, we are still one down from where we were even last year.
“I still think we are short in the squad and I still think we are short in quality in some places and I need to try add to that.”
