Leeds United forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned his side a 1-1 draw with Brentford in the Premier League at Elland Road on Sunday.
Keith Andrews’ side have looked particularly sharp and accurate to start their season, so it’s positive signs for Leeds Utd boss Daniel Farke that his men salvaged a draw.
Kevin Schade scored a wonderful opener off a Keane Lewis-Potter cross to set the tone of the game, with new signing Mamadou Sangare adding the bite and control in midfield the Bees required.
Calvert-Lewin breaks record
“It’s crazy. It’s flown by, I still remember my debut like yesterday,” Calvert-Lewin told Sky Sports, who broke the record for consecutive goalscoring campaigns after scoring in his 11th-straight Premier League season.
“I’m proud to be here. It’s been a long road to get to where I am now but I’m feeling very good and excited to keep playing.
“We have to look to build on last season and take it step by step.”

‘They were the better side’
“I’m proud of my players. It was a difficult game as expected,” Farke said after the game.
“They were the better side in the first half and fully deserved to be in the lead.
“We needed to try everything and we changed the base formation at half-time.
“We gained control back, lost it again, changed the base formation again and we were then in control and equalised.
“A point was a fair outcome for the result because we were the better side in the second half.
“Sometimes you have to win points with mentality and that’s what we did,” he added.
A different mindset
“We played here in March and it was 0-0, it was a completely different game and feel to it,” Andrews said in his match reaction.
“The way we had to approach it was quite pragmatic. Today was a different mindset as a group.
“How we’ve started the season has been built on what we did last season – you could see that in the first half.
“I really like us at the moment. We’re in a good place that’s come from nothing but hard work and a spirit from the group that wants to achieve something.”
