We’ve officially reached the stage of the Premier League season where every fan suddenly becomes a mathematician.

One team needs “just four points from three matches,” another needs “goal difference and a small miracle,” while somebody else is somehow still “technically in the title race” despite losing to Wolves two weeks ago.

In other words, it’s the perfect time for a Premier League parlay, and matchweek 36 brings us another chaotic weekend of football to do just that.

But beneath all that madness, there are still some very strong betting spots on the board this weekend.

A few sides are peaking at exactly the right time, others are simply far more motivated, and some already look like they’re on a beach somewhere playing with their sandals on.

Anyway, let’s get into the best Premier League parlay picks for Matchweek 36.

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Saturday, May 9 (7:30 EST/ 12:30 GMT)

Liverpool to win

Liverpool at Anfield in a big game is usually a nightmare assignment, and Chelsea look like a team not capable of beating anyone at the moment.

The Reds simply look sharper, more balanced, and far more reliable right now, which says a lot about Chelsea, considering Liverpool haven’t exactly set the world alight this season.

If Liverpool starts fast, Chelsea Twitter might hit meltdown before the game even reaches halftime.

Brighton vs Wolves

Saturday, May 9 (10:00 EST/ 15:00 GMT)

Brighton to win

Brighton will be looking to bounce back and keep their European push alive after suffering defeat to Newcastle last weekend.

Wolves don’t have anything to play for, given that they are relegated – even though that was basically a formality in October.

They did get a point against Sunderland last week, but Sunderland had 10 men for most of that game and probably still felt like they could have won it.

No drama here, straightforward Brighton win… Surely.

Fulham vs Bournemouth

Saturday, May 9 (10:00 EST/ 15:00 GMT)

Bournemouth to win

Bournemouth have sneakily become one of the top candidates for Champions League football. Granted, they are likely relying on Aston Villa to finish fifth and win the Europa League, but they still sit proudly in sixth place.

Fulham, on the other hand are one of a handful of teams fighting for what could potentially turn into a European place if certain scenarios play out.

They were brushed aside with ease by Arsenal and continue to be one of those sides that seem to struggle to really build any sort of momentum.

Bournemouth to win is my pick here; it might not be pretty, but they are particularly hard to beat as of late for a reason.

Man City vs Brentford

Saturday, May 9 (14:30 EST/ 19:30 GMT)

Man City to win

A rare Man City slip late in the season has pushed the title race back in Arsenal’s favour, but don’t count out Pep Guardiola’s men just yet.

City knows exactly what’s at stake and will want to bounce back with a vengeance.

Brentford aren’t pushovers, but there are very few teams in the world, let alone the Premier League, that can go toe to toe with Man City’s firepower, especially when they have an axe to grind – or a trophy to hunt.

I expect Man City to win here and put the pressure on Arsenal in the title race.
