England's Harry Kane takes a shot against Uruguay

England vs Uruguay picks, predictions and how to watch

England -1.5 spread at +125

Calvert-Lewin to score at +165

England continue their road to the 2026 World Cup on Friday night, as they host Uruguay in a friendly match at Wembley Stadium.

The Three Lions qualified for the tournament as Group K winners, taking maximum points from all eight of their matches.

Manager Thomas Tuchel‘s side became the first side to qualify for a World Cup without conceding a goal in any of their qualifiers.

England now take on Uruguay, a nation that also booked their place in North America this summer, following a relatively inconsistent qualification campaign.

The South Americans will travel to England having not won either of their latest two matches, which saw them draw with Mexico and lose to the United States.

What are the best bets for England vs Uruguay?

England -1.5 spread

This should be a straightforward task for England, as they continue their preparations for the summer.

England have won 17 of their last 20 matches across all competitions. Making them one of international football’s most in-form nations.

Uruguay drew six of their qualifiers, five of which ended 0-0, and could only manage to record three victories.

I’m taking England to win with a -1.5 spread, as I expect them to have far too much quality for the visitors to handle.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score

It is hard to highlight a scorer, as the strength of the England side could mean that even a rotated outfit could cause Uruguay problems.

But Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be in line for a return at the international level and should fare well against a physical defence.

Where can I watch England vs Uruguay?
