Leeds United host Newcastle United at Elland Road in Monday night’s Premier League clash, with both sides looking to extend their unbeaten starts to the season.
Leeds have taken five points from their opening three games, while Newcastle have also collected five points after draws with Liverpool and Bournemouth and a win at Tottenham.
Daniel Farke’s side will have home advantage, but Newcastle arrive with a chip on their shoulder and a point to prove after a massive summer overhaul.

This is the pick I like most from this game.
Leeds have scored in all three of their Premier League matches this season, while Newcastle have also found the net in each of their opening three fixtures.
The more interesting part for me is Newcastle’s defence.
They have conceded in every league game so far, including twice against both Liverpool and Bournemouth. That makes it difficult to see them keeping Leeds out for 90 minutes at Elland Road.
At the other end, Newcastle have enough attacking quality to cause Leeds problems.
Anthony Elanga already has two league goals, while Harvey Barnes and Yoane Wissa give Newcastle plenty of pace and movement in the final third.
I don’t expect this to be a game where either side sits back for long periods.
Match result Draw
I’m also leaning towards the draw.
There really isn’t much between these two sides at the moment. Both have one win and two draws from their opening three Premier League games, and both have shown enough to suggest they can cause each other problems.
Leeds should be a different proposition at Elland Road.
The atmosphere will be a factor, and Farke’s side have looked well organised since returning to the Premier League.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin also gives them a focal point who can occupy Newcastle’s centre-backs.
However, Newcastle’s pace on the break is something I think Leeds will have problems dealing with.
That makes it difficult for me to pick either team to win with much confidence.
A draw feels like the sensible result.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin to have 1+ shots on target
This is a player pick I like.
Calvert-Lewin has started all three Premier League games since joining Leeds and has already shown that he can get himself into dangerous positions.
Leeds are likely to have spells of pressure at Elland Road, and Newcastle have not looked particularly convincing defensively so far this season.
I expect Calvert-Lewin to be involved regularly, especially with Leeds likely to use him as the focal point of their attacks.
One shot on target is not asking a huge amount from a striker who should get plenty of opportunities to test Newcastle’s defence.

Jaissle has been pleased with Newcastle’s start and has also praised the impact of goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek.
The Newcastle boss described Hornicek as an important presence for the team, saying:
“He’s so calm but so mature as well. There’s not even a hint of nervousness.”
Jaissle will need another strong performance from his goalkeeper with Newcastle facing a Leeds side that has scored in every Premier League game this season.

I think this could be one of the better games of the Premier League weekend.
Leeds have looked difficult to beat and should be lifted by the Elland Road crowd, while Newcastle have shown plenty of attacking quality under Jaissle.
I can see both teams finding the net, but neither side has done enough so far to make me confident about picking a winner.
A draw feels like the right call.
