Early Thursday, February 12, Nottingham Forest confirmed that they have sacked head coach Sean Dyche after just 114 days in charge.
The decision came hours after Forest were held to a goalless draw against bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League clash at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest are now in talks with former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira.

Dyche’s departure marks the third managerial exit at Forest in the 2025/26 season. The 54-year-old replaced Ange Postecoglou in October on a contract reportedly running until 2027.
However, Forest’s run of poor form in the league and frustrating results sparked heavy pressure on his position.
“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach,” the club statement read.
“We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.”
Forest draw 0-0 with Wolves
Forest now sit 17th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone with 12 matches remaining.
In Wednesday’s game against Wolves, Forest had 34 attempts at goal but failed to score, a statistic that underlined their recent struggles in front of net.
Dyche’s tenure began with some positive signs, including taking the team out of the bottom three and securing notable results in his early weeks.
But his side’s inability to maintain consistency in the league – highlighted by just two league wins in recent matches – eventually cost him his job.
Evangelos Marinakis’s thin patience
This season has been turbulent off the pitch, too. Earlier in the campaign, Forest dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo and then Ange Postecoglou – the latter lasting only 39 days – making Dyche the third coach to leave the club this season.
Forest now face the task of finding a fourth head coach before key fixtures, including a Europa League tie against Fenerbahce and important Premier League tests.
The club’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, has shown little patience with managers this season, underscoring the high stakes of the relegation battle.
However, Dyche had nothing negative to say of Marinakis just hours before the sack: “The owner has been fair to me, without a shadow of a doubt. If anyone chooses to change in football now, that’s their decision. We’ve all seen it,” the Englishman said.
“People can demand change, and then it’s always whether they change or not. I just work very hard. I care about this club. I’ve made that clear. I’m working very hard.
“If the owner wants to make a change, then that’s up to him, and that’s the way football is now, that’s just the reality of it.
Dyche’s exit once again raises questions about stability at Nottingham Forest as they fight to retain their top-flight status.
