Game week 25 of the Premier League is upon us, meaning we are now officially into the second half of the season.

I’m writing this as my wife sits behind me watching Love Island USA On Demand, hopefully this parlay comes in so I can buy the villa and end this nonsense forever.

Anyway, let’s get into my picks and predictions for this weekend’s Premier League schedule.

As always, there are some close matchups this weekend, so picking straight-up match winners on the moneyline might be best avoided, but then again, no risk, no reward, right?

Man United vs Tottenham

• Saturday, February 7 at 7:30am ET / 12:30pm GMT

Every time these two meet is chaos, goals, red cards, and just all-around pandemonium, and I expect more of the same.

United are certainly looking a lot stronger under Carrick, but seem to have adopted the mantra of “we will score more than you”.

On the flip side Spurs are expected to have a patched-together back line for this one, so goals should definitely be on the cards.

Arsenal vs Sunderland

• Saturday, February 7 at 10am ET / 3pm GMT

The Gunners are ruthless at home, with high possession, plenty of chances created and constant pressure. Couple that with Sunderland’s less-than-ideal away form, and you – on paper at least – have the easy decision of backing an Arsenal win.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

• Saturday, February 7 at 10am ET / 3pm GMT

Neither team have shown massive quality when it comes to defending. The only caveat to this might be if Villa get ahead early and chooses to control the game rather than chase it.

Bournemouth are dangerous at home and nearly always score. Both teams to score is the pick, but you could go rogue and pick Villa to win. I’m just not convinced after last week’s slip-up.

Wolves vs Chelsea

• Saturday, February 7 at 10am ET / 3pm GMT

Wolves are still wolves despite a small improvement under Rob Edwards. Chelsea are on fire at the moment under their own new boss, Liam Rosenior.

Wolves might even snatch a goal against a less-than-ideal Chelsea defence, but the Blues have far too much firepower not put this one out of sight.

Newcastle vs Brentford

• Saturday, February 7 at 12:30pm ET / 5:30pm GMT

Newcastle are a different animal at home than they are on the road. I think they edge this one, but I expect a close game and probably a goal from Brentford to match.

You could knock this down to a straightforward BTTS and play it a bit safe, but that just isn’t for me; go big or go home.
