The 2026-27 UEFA Nations League gets underway on Thursday, with several heavyweight fixtures taking centre stage.
Three matches are worth consideration: Norway vs Denmark, Netherlands vs Germany and Portugal vs Wales – all of which offer different betting opportunities.

Norway vs Denmark betting tips
Norway enter their first Nations League campaign on the back of an impressive World Cup, where Ståle Solbakken’s side reached the quarter-finals after beating Ivory Coast and Brazil before losing 2-1 to England.
Erling Haaland remains the obvious threat, with Martin Ødegaard providing creativity behind him.
Norway’s defensive record is less convincing, however, having conceded in all six of their World Cup matches.
Denmark also scored in four of their last five internationals, while the Danes have won the last three meetings between the sides.
Denmark will be without Andreas Christensen and Alexander Bah, while Kasper Dolberg is also unavailable. Norway are missing Alexander Sørloth, but still possess plenty of attacking quality.

With both teams possessing attacking threats and Norway’s defensive vulnerability, the 0.65 price fits the expected game state.

Haaland is the obvious goalscorer threat at 0.65, while Jørgen Strand Larsen is also priced at 0.45.

Netherlands vs Germany betting tips
This is arguably the most intriguing of the three fixtures, with Xavi Hernández and Jürgen Klopp both taking charge of their first competitive matches as national-team managers.
The Netherlands have moved into a new era after Ronald Koeman’s departure, with Xavi leaving Memphis Depay out of his first squad while retaining Virgil van Dijk.
Cody Gakpo, Brian Brobbey and Noa Lang provide plenty of attacking options.
Germany are undergoing a similar rebuild. Klopp has split his players into two groups across the opening four Nations League fixtures, with Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala expected to feature against the Dutch.
Kai Havertz also provides a threat in attack.

Portugal vs Wales betting tips
Portugal begin their title defence against Wales in Lisbon, with Jorge Jesus taking charge of his first competitive match after replacing Roberto Martinez.
Cristiano Ronaldo remains the headline name.
The 41-year-old has been included in Jesus’ first squad, although the new manager has stressed that selection will be based on performance.
Portugal also have Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Vitinha, Rafael Leão and Nuno Mendes among their attacking and creative options.
Wales return to top-flight international competition after winning promotion but face a difficult opening assignment.
Craig Bellamy’s side are missing Harry Wilson, Nathan Broadhead and Karl Darlow, while Joe Rodon and Dylan Lawlor are also injury concerns.
That leaves Portugal with a significant attacking advantage on paper.

The combined market offers more than simply backing the hosts at 0.18, while Wales’ absences make a Portugal clean sheet plausible.
