Liverpool return to Premier League action after a midweek victory in the Champions League gave them back-to-back victories. Fulham visit Anfield as the Reds look to make it three wins in a row.
The Reds have made an unbeaten start to the league season, although two draws from their opening three games mean they still have some ground to make up.
Andoni Iraola’s side did pick up their first league win at Ipswich last time out. They then followed that with a 2-1 Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid on Wednesday night.
Fulham have had a much tougher start.
Álvaro Arbeloa’s side have lost all three Premier League games and have already conceded seven goals. They now have to make the trip to Anfield. Not exactly the fixture you put on the calendar when looking for a gentle route out of trouble.
Liverpool won this fixture 2-0 in April and should be confident of another positive result.

What are the best picks for Liverpool vs Fulham?
Liverpool to win
Liverpool are the obvious choice in the match-winner market.
They have not been completely convincing in every game this season, but they remain unbeaten after three Premier League matches.
A 2-2 draw at Newcastle was followed by another 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest before Liverpool finally got their first win at Ipswich.
Alexander Isak scored twice in that 2-0 victory, while Cody Gakpo provided both assists.
Liverpool then showed plenty of character to come from behind and beat Atlético Madrid in midweek.
Fulham, meanwhile, have lost to Chelsea, Sunderland and Crystal Palace. Not exactly world-beating form, is it.
Their attacking play has offered some encouragement, but the defending has been another matter.
Fulham have conceded seven times in three league games, with Arbeloa admitting his side have given away goals too easily.
Liverpool should have too much quality at Anfield. Making them my pick in this one.
Alexander Isak to score anytime
This one is becoming a bit of a recurring theme in my predictions. But for good reason.
The Sweden international scored twice against Ipswich, finding the net inside the opening nine minutes.
He then started against Atlético Madrid and looked dangerous throughout the 2-1 victory, even if he wasn’t on the scoresheet.
He looks more like the Isak we saw at Newcastle than the one plagued by Injuries last term.
Fulham’s defensive problems make this an even more interesting matchup.
They have conceded in each of their three Premier League games, including three against both Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Liverpool should create chances at Anfield, and Isak looks well placed to take advantage.

Liverpool over 5.5 corners
We are going for a different market with the third selection.
Liverpool should dominate possession for long periods and spend plenty of time attacking a Fulham defence that has already shown signs of vulnerability.
The visitors may be forced to defend deep, particularly if Liverpool score first.
That should give Iraola’s side plenty of opportunities to attack from wide areas and put pressure on the Fulham box.

Iraola admitted Liverpool were caught out by Atlético’s approach in the Champions League but praised the way his side responded.
“I have to blame myself a bit for the start of the game. Atlético surprised us with the way they approached the game… but we adjusted and played better.”
He was also pleased with Liverpool’s resilience after coming from behind again.
“We came back for the third time [this season] and that showed the players are pushing and they have character.”
Álvaro Arbeloa
Arbeloa has called for patience after Fulham’s difficult start to the season.
After the defeat to Crystal Palace, he said:
“We knew that this month would be a very tough month but I told my players this month will not define our entire season.”
He also admitted Fulham need to cut out the defensive mistakes.
“We conceded very easy goals.”
