Robert Lewandowski celebrates scoring a Poland goal against Albania

Poland vs Albania picks, predictions and how to watch

Asslani to have a shot

Lewandowski to score

Poland to win

Combined odds: +240 with FanDuel

Albania will travel to Warsaw to play Poland as both teams look to secure their place in the 2026 World Cup play-off final.

The winner of Ukraine vs Sweden awaits the winner of this tie, with both teams arriving here off the back of strong qualifying campaigns.

Poland were perhaps slightly unlucky to finish second in Group G, as their (17) points tally was bettered by only the Netherlands.

The Poles lost only one of their qualifying matches and missed out on automatic qualification by only three points.

Albania will arrive having won four of their eight qualifiers, drawing twice and losing both games against runaway Group K winners England.

The visitors are looking to qualify for their first-ever World Cup, whilst Poland are looking to play in their 10th.

What are the best bets for Poland vs Albania?

Asslani to have a shot, Lewandowski to score, Poland to win

Albania aren’t a team that scores many goals, but they are a team that defends very well – at least according to my Albanian friend.

I say he’s Albanian, but he was born in Gateshead, England, which is about as Albanian as the Union Jack flag. But he does have Albanian parents.

Their main threat is carried through Kristjan Asllani and Armando Broja, though Qazim Laci can cause problems too.

I’m backing Asslani to potentially thest the keeper in this game, but I don’t think that it will be enough to defeat Poland, who arrive here in brilliant form.

Their loss to Finland remains their only defeat since 2024. And with elite striker Robert Lewandowski set to lead the line again, Albania’s strong defence could get breached.

My bet is going to be Asslani to take a shot, Lewandowski to score and for Poland to win this match.
