Tottenham Hotspur welcome Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening, with both sides arriving at very different points in their early-season journeys.
Spurs are still searching for their first Premier League win under Roberto De Zerbi. They have also failed to score in their opening three games, with defeats to Brentford and Newcastle followed by a 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest.
Everton, meanwhile, are unbeaten. David Moyes’ side opened the season with a win over Crystal Palace before drawing with Bournemouth and Manchester United.
That leaves Tottenham with plenty to prove.
Everton, despite the chaos surrounding their summer transfer window, can head to north London with considerably less pressure on them.

Everton to win
Tottenham have made a poor start to the Premier League season, while Everton are yet to lose.
Spurs have taken just one point from their opening three games and, even more worryingly, have not scored a single league goal.
Everton, meanwhile, have already picked up seven points. They drew with Bournemouth before showing plenty of character to earn a point at Manchester United.
The Toffees might have off-field issues, but Spurs clearly still have them on the field despite their heavy spending in the summer.
There is still plenty of time for Tottenham to turn things around, but based on what we have seen so far, Everton look the more convincing side.
Under 2.5 goals
This feels like the natural companion to an Everton win.
Tottenham have scored zero goals in three league games, while Everton have conceded only two.
Neither side has been involved in a Premier League game producing more than three goals so far this season.
If Everton do take the points, I can see it being another frustrating night for Tottenham rather than a goal-fest.
A 0-1 or 0-2 feels far more likely than either side running away with it.

Roberto De Zerbi
De Zerbi knows Tottenham need to become more clinical in the final third.
After the draw with Forest, he said:
“In the last third we have to improve. We have to take the better decisions.”
The Spurs boss also believes the first goal could make a major difference to his team’s confidence.
“Winning the games because, you know, the confidence, the enthusiasm, it can be crucial to find the right decision.”

Everton have had a difficult summer off the pitch, but Moyes has been keen to make sure that does not become an excuse for his players.
After the transfer window closed, he said he wanted the situation to galvanise the club and help them achieve:
“Something special” this season.
Moyes was also delighted with the character Everton showed to come from behind twice against Manchester United and earn a point at Old Trafford.

Everton’s squad is not exactly overflowing with options after their difficult transfer window, with Moyes admitting that the club were left with a very small squad.

At some point Tottenham are going to score.
That feels like a fairly safe assumption, unless De Zerbi has discovered a new form of football where creating chances without putting the ball in the net is actually the objective.
But there is little reason to assume it happens here.
Everton have started well, they have already taken points from difficult away games and Tottenham are still searching for their first league goal.
