Brazil enter Group C as the clear favourites, but this section has enough variety to make second place interesting. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have the strongest squad, the deepest attack and the most obvious route to first place. Anything other than Brazil topping the group would be a major surprise.
Behind them, Morocco and Scotland look set for a direct fight to qualify. Morocco bring structure, speed and tournament know-how, while Scotland have enough discipline and set-piece threat to make life awkward.
Haiti arrive as the outsiders, but they are not just here to make up the numbers. They have pace, athleticism, and enough transition threat to punish teams.
Who is in World Cup Group C?
Ancelotti has built a squad around balance rather than pure attacking talent, with Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, Matheus Cunha, Gabriel Martinelli, Neymar and Endrick giving him serious options in the final third.
The big call came with Neymar’s inclusion and Joao Pedro’s omission. Neymar’s minutes may still need managing, but his creativity and set-piece quality could give Brazil a different route through tight games.
Morocco should be Brazil’s biggest threat. They remain compact without the ball and dangerous when space opens up, especially through Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz.
Scotland will fancy their chances of pushing Morocco. Steve Clarke’s side know what they are, and that matters at tournaments. They will rely on structure, wide service, second balls and late runs from midfield.
Haiti face the toughest job in the group. Their opening match against Scotland already feels huge, because a positive result there could change the whole feel of the section.

Who are the key players in World Cup Group C?
Brazil: Vinicius Junior
Vinicius gives Brazil their clearest route to breaking tight games. If opponents sit deep, his pace and one-on-one threat should still create chances without Brazil needing to overcommit.
Morocco: Achraf Hakimi
Hakimi remains central to Morocco’s best attacking work. His forward runs from right-back give them progression, width and a major transition weapon.
Scotland: Scott McTominay
McTominay’s timing into the box could decide Scotland’s tournament. They will need his goal threat, physicality and ability to attack second balls if they want to edge Morocco.
Haiti: Jean-Ricner Bellegarde
Bellegarde gives Haiti quality in the middle of the pitch. They need him to carry the ball, protect possession and make their counter-attacks count.
What are the best bets for World Cup Group C?
Brazil to win Group C is the obvious starting point. The price is short, but the logic is clear enough. They have the best players, the most attacking depth and a manager who should give them more tournament control than in recent cycles.
The better value may come in the qualification market. Morocco to qualify looks a sensible angle if the price holds, because they have more tactical balance than Scotland and more proven quality than Haiti.
Scotland’s route depends heavily on the opener. If they beat Haiti, the meeting with Morocco becomes a live second-place decider. If they drop points, they may need something against Brazil, which is a much harder ask.
A Brazil and Morocco straight forecast also makes sense. Brazil should have too much over three games, while Morocco’s transition threat and defensive structure give them the edge in the fight for second.
Haiti are difficult to support in outright markets, but they could be dangerous in match markets if opponents leave space late in games. Their best chance of influence may be spoiling someone else’s route rather than forcing their own.
Who will qualify from World Cup Group C?
- Brazil
- Morocco
- Scotland
- Haiti
Brazil should win the group with room to spare if Ancelotti finds the right attacking balance early. Morocco look better equipped than Scotland to take second, although that head-to-head in Boston could decide it. Haiti have enough pace to cause problems, but they will need a major upset to stay alive into the final round.
