Inter Milan are in talks with Tottenham over a deal for Djed Spence, with the Italian club believing a package worth around £30m could secure the England defender.
Inter are looking to add another player capable of playing as a wing-back.
The clubs are expected to hold further discussions, with Sky Sports stating Tottenham are understood to be willing to sell Spence if an acceptable offer is received.
Inter turn to Spence
Spence has been high on Inter’s list throughout the summer, with the Serie A club now stepping up their interest after struggling to reach an agreement for Al-Ittihad’s Moussa Diaby.
Inter Milan’s interest reflects their desire to strengthen the wing-back positions, with Spence’s ability to operate on either side making him an attractive option.
The 25-year-old joined Tottenham from Middlesbrough and has also spent time on loan at Rennes, Leeds United and Genoa during his career.

Recruitment unfinished
Roberto De Zerbi has made clear that Tottenham’s recruitment is not finished and that further additions could arrive before the transfer window closes.
“In the transfer market, we have not finished yet [with] the players who will arrive,” De Zerbi said, speaking to the Men in Blazers Network.
“We are looking forward to start another season with, I don’t know [different] ambitions, but with different results.”
“The club has been great because they closed [deals for] very, very important players. I think we have not finished yet,” De Zerbi continued.
“Okay, we spent money, but the other clubs made the same or more in the past. To compete in the Premier League, you need first [the] level of the players.
High ambitions
“The ambition of the owner of the club, of the board, of the people who decide behind me are very important and very high, so we have to find the condition to build a strong team, a stronger team than the last seasons, to compete again for the top of the table,” De Zerbi concluded.
